Overview:
The Mitutoyo Institute of Metrology is excited to present EDU-104, a comprehensive 2-day seminar. Learn the fundamentals of the following tools needed for basic and surface plate GD&T inspections:

What You’ll Learn:

• Hands-on Techniques: Expert instructors explain the basics of each tool, differences in how “the feel” is considered, and demonstrate best practices through hands-on instruction.
• Strategic Insights: Considerable focus is placed on “why” the best practices are important and what to consider when using the tool differently in unique situations.
• Sources of Error: Common errors, such as cosine and parallax error, are explained, along with how each tool is designed to make proper contact with the feature. Just as importantly, the training highlights how the tools should not make contact, which is often harder to notice.
• Dimensional & GD&T Metrology Foundation: Builds the core skills and concepts needed for accurate dimensional measurement, from fundamental hand-tool techniques to surface-plate methods that support GD&T and 3D inspection workflows.
