IMTS is back for 2024! Once again, Mitutoyo America Corporation will showcase our industry-leading precision metrology instruments, systems, and services, along with interactive demonstrations and a museum exhibit to celebrate Mitutoyo’s 90th anniversary. Come visit Mitutoyo at two booths, #134117 on the main floor and #121420 at the Smart Force Student Summit, Sept. 9 – 14 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. There, you will find every aspect of Mitutoyo precision metrology will be on display for you to experience and learn more about our many products and services.
Time & Location
IMTS 2024 takes place Sept. 9 – 14 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL 60616. Registration starts at 8am each day, and Exhibit Hall doors in the West and East Buildings are open 9am to 5pm. Exhibit Hall doors in the North and South Buildings are open 10am to 6pm.
Mitutoyo Exhibits
Several interactive displays and exhibits showcasing our continued innovation for and integration into the Smart Factory and Digital Thread realms. An updated interactive Mitutoyo precision measurement virtual small tool table will be a main highlight in the Mitutoyo booth along with a measurement museum to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Mitutoyo.

This year, the Mitutoyo America Corporation booth will have a brand-new look! On the first floor of our booth’s two-floor pavilion will be the Mitutoyo Japan Museum of Measurement, giving visitors an inside look at how precision measurement started, how Mitutoyo raised the standards across precision metrology, and rare early-Mitutoyo measurement artifacts that explains our commitment to precision. Of course, we will have all of the latest precision measurement instruments, systems, and services on display along with many scheduled and non-scheduled product demonstrations.

Mitutoyo takes pride in our commitment to educating younger generations just starting to planning on entering the manufacturing world, which is why we are a part of the IMTS Smart Force Student Summit. Visit the Mitutoyo booth to take part in engaging precision measurement demonstrations and discussions with several Mitutoyo experts as well as Travis Jarrett, Quality Manager at TITANS of CNC. This is a great opportunity to learn metrology basics and tips from the best in the industry.
LEGEX TAKUMI CMM
A high-precision CMM known for its exceptional accuracy and stability. The Legex Takumi utilizes advanced linear motor technology, granite base construction for thermal stability, and high-performance scales for sub-micron accuracy. Takumi in Japanese means, artisan or skilled, and this series of Legex CMMs is named Takumi after the master Mitutoyo craftsmen who carefully manufactured this CMM to be one of the most accurate and precise down to the sub-micron level.
SM1008S LINE-LASER SENSOR
A high-accuracy, environmentally resistant line-laser sensor for precise non-contact measurements. The SM1008S is designed for high speed, in-line measurement of various materials with great accuracy. This Sensor features an on-board, browser-based software with advanced Inspection & decision-making capabilities.
NEW QUANTUMIKE
A highly accurate micrometer with a spindle movement 4-times faster than conventional micrometers. Newly redesigned, the QuantuMike features a large LCD display with icons for GO/NG judgment, calibration date warnings, and over-torque warning, as well as a calculation function for machine compensation. The new QuantuMike now has Digimatic S1 communication and is even more user-friendly for operators.
STRATO ACTIVE CMM
The Mitutoyo state-of-the-art STRATO Apex Series of CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines delivers high-accuracy measurements with smooth, high-drive speeds and acceleration for top scanning performance. An innovative built-in, high-performance controller uses a digital servo system to process all control loops for position, speed and current as digital signals, reducing drift and deterioration.
QUICK IMAGE WITH M3
Available in motorized or manual models, the Quick Image 2D vision system is simple to operate with image stitching capabilities up to 400mm in size. The M3 software adds an intuitive icon-driven user interface, a flexible probe library, powerful tolerancing and programming, advanced video and optical edge detection, a touchscreen that supports gesture controls, and much more!
HISTORY OF MEASUREMENT MUSEUM
To celebrate 90 years of Mitutoyo Japan, we are presenting The Mitutoyo Museum of Metrology in our booth! This special event showcases vintage measurement instruments and standards of historic value from the past three centuries – it’s a rare glimpse into the many historical measurement artifacts Mitutoyo has curated almost never shown in public! Be sure to stop by and see how measuring devices has evolved over several hundred years.
Titans of CNC
Travis Jarrett, Director of Quality at Titans of CNC, will join Mitutoyo America at IMTS once again this year, Monday, Sept.9 through Wednesday, Sept. 11. Travis will provide a walkthrough featuring new Mitutoyo products our main booth (#134117) at 10am Monday morning and 2pm Monday afternoon. Tuesday, Travis will speak at the Mitutoyo Smartforce Student Summit booth #121420 on the second floor at 10am and again at 2pm. Wednesday, Travis will be back in the main booth one final day to discuss and highlight the new Mitutoyo QuantuMike at 10am and Quick Image with M3 2pm.
